A great way to study for one or two semesters at a university abroad, it is called open or semester Study Abroad programs that are offered at several universities in different English-speaking countries, especially, for example, in South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Germany, France and Sweden as well as in Spain.

These programs are characterized by a simple and short-term application process, a flexible professional and comprehensive choice of courses each semester and minimum bureaucracy. At the same time, it is cheaper than most regular degree programs at these universities.

With the flexible choice of courses that can be tailored to the individual needs and the course of study at their home university, permitting transfer of the studies abroad usually is quite possible - always with prior clarification of the course selection and eligibility with the examination office (!) or departmental coordinator of the home university.
